About
Jeff Mosher, baritone, is a singer, teacher, and conductor who hails from the great state of Maine. He holds degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education from the University of Southern Maine. At USM, he sang regularly as both chorister and soloist. Highlights included singing the role of Liberto in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, appearing as a bass soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, and completing a concert tour of Croatia with the USM Chamber Singers. Following his university studies, Mr. Mosher maintained a rigorous schedule of solo recitals and private teaching. Most recently, he completed a one-year appointment on the voice and conducting faculty of the Murray Conservatorium in New South Wales, Australia.
Mr. Mosher has been fortunate to have studied with many influential teachers, most notably Dr. Robert Russell, Dr. Robert Lehmann, and the late Ellen Chickering. In addition to engaging in private study, he continues to participate in conducting masterclasses worldwide.
At present, Mr. Mosher serves on the teaching faculty of Scarborough High School, assists ChoralArt, and is a candidate for an MM in Orchestral Conducting. He is based in Portland, Maine, and welcomes invitations to work with your choir.
